We had a lot of good ideas while we were developing the Reaction Rescue, but we also had many crazy ones. These ideas were so outside the box, it seemed impossible. There were some that didn’t meet the criteria and constraints .
One of our crazy ideas was to make an air freshener. When you inhale the air, it travels to your immune system and temporarily contains you anaphylaxis, enabling you to eat peanuts. There were many reasons why this could never work out. One main reason was that the emnissaphran has to be physically given to you. For example, it could be injected into you, or eaten by you, etc. Another reason is that if more than one person was living in the household and they weren’t allergic to peanuts, it might come to be a nuisance to them. People without peanut allergies could get in a severe condition. Individuals that do not have anaphylaxis are probably not used to emnissaphran. When they smell it, a reaction might occur. The emnissaphran would have to be strong to cure the severe allergy. Children and adults wouldn’t want their house smelling like that all the time.
Another design that we thought might work out was a toothpaste that can help prevent peanut allergies. Toothpaste that you would apply to your mouth would not be able to stick onto your mouth for a large amount of time. The toothpaste can’t stay on you mouth for a long time because you mouth is produces saliva. The toothpaste will come out with what you are eating. Another creative and out of the box idea was the retainer. It was one of the best ideas but we made not realized a main minus point it had. When you have retainers you have to take them out when you are eating. So that idea wouldn’t work out because the retainer has to be on if the retainer had to cure the allergies.Another reason why this wouldn’t work out is that when you eat a peanut butter jelly sandwich the epipnere would get stuck on the sandwich. That would be terrible for a child to have to eat a sandwich with epiniere on it.That would be an improvement or future product of the Epipen. Unfortunately , most of these products have lots of cons. That is the reason why we didn't choose these products.
